Vinyl accounted for nearly one tenth of the Irish albums market in 2021 (9.8%) with 407,000 vinyl records sold, up from 309,000 in 2020 and 218,000 in 2019). In a Top 10 otherwise packed with collector classics, Adele's blockbuster comeback record 30 smashes its way to a Number 2 placing, while ABBA's long-awaited new studio album Voyage also earns a spot at Number 8.

This is actually the second year that Rumours was the Number 1 best-selling vinyl album in Ireland, last year it too reached Number 1 on the 2020 year-end chart. The classic album tops our year-end Vinyl Top 50 chart, outpacing releases from modern-day acts such as Adele, Harry Styles and Dermot Kennedy. Fleetwood Mac's Rumours was the best-selling vinyl album of 2021 in Ireland, the Official Charts Company can reveal.
